The next question is from audience member Daniel. He asks the leaders about the hit sole traders and small businesses took during the pandemic.
Scott Morrison says the government has cut taxes for small businesses and introduced new programs such as the instant asset write off. “We need businesses to be agile,” the PM says, noting many moved more and more to online processes during lockdowns and other restrictions.Daniel says he runs a cafe on a local commercial airfield, and his business was badly hit by the shutdown in aviation.
