star and director opened up about what she took away from the film, admitting,"For me, regardless of what the actual product was, so much of the story that the media wanted to tell aboutwas that it was some feminist manifesto. I just loved the franchise.
Banks then goes on to get candid about the challenges she faced as a result of signing on to the film, adding,"There was not this gendered agenda from me. That was very much laid on top of the work, and it was a little bit of a bummer. It felt like it pigeonholed me and the audience for the movie.
