Counsel Assisting Phillip Hogan told the court in his opening remarks that the inquest would examine how Ms Britton sustained her fatal injuries. When she went to pick her daughter up following the GP appointment, she told the court something was wrong. Magistrate Forbes heard Mr Siganto had been involved in an incident with Elizabeth's neighbour, Guenther Puntingham, nine days before she was found injured.
