With less than a month to go until The Crown returns for series 5, new images from the show reveal Elizabeth Debicki's striking resemblance to Princess Diana in upcoming scenes
Newly released images from the upcoming series of The Crown have given fans their first glimpse of Elizabeth Debicki convincingly channelling Diana, Princess of Wales as she stars alongside Dominic West, who takes on the role of Prince Charles.
In another scene from the upcoming series, Elizabeth can once again be seen embodying the late princess aboard a small boat, as she sails beside Charles and a young Prince William and Harry. While taking on such a pivotal role may have been daunting for some, it was a project Elizabeth felt passionate about, as she told Netflix website Tudum she “happily swam” in the “tsunami of information” that accompanied the role.
“Diana was the most photographed person in the world at that time. As an actor, you open the portal and this huge tsunami of information comes at you. I happily swam around in it.” Also in the newly-released selection of images, fans are given a closer look at Imelda Staunton, who has taken over the role of the Queen from Olivia Colman.
