The former Coronation Street actor has named who she thinks her biggest rival will be and says they are 'so good'
Ellie Leach has called one of her Strictly Come Dancing co-stars a 'dark horse' while discussing her 'biggest competition' in the hit BBC One ballroom show. The Bury-born former Coronation Street actor, 22, is among the 15 celebrities taking part in the 2023 run of the dance contest and fans will get to see which professional dancers they have been paired with during the launch show this Saturday before the competition really begins the following week with the first live edition.
Ellie, who played Faye Windass on Coronation Street from 2011 until earlier this year, said she had "always wanted to do Strictly", adding: "Ever since I was younger, I've been obsessed with dancing and watching dancing. I used to do tap and ballet when I was younger, but I'm not trained. I think just coming out of Coronation Street, it's amazing to have a new experience and do something that I have never done before.
Ellie also said "you'd be silly not to have your eye on the glitterball" and continued: "I mean, for me, winning is great, but it's always the taking part that counts.
