An emergency bushfire warning is issued for the suburb of Lake Coogee in Perth's south, while another blaze north of the city has burned through a shed.

The fire started near the intersection of Beeliar Drive and Stock Road, and there is a threat to lives and homes.

Meanwhile, authorities were battling an out-of-control bushfire north of the city which has already burned through a large shed and a ute. The Department of Fire and Emergency Services has issued a "watch and act" alert for the fire, which is burning in parts of Neergabby, Woodridge and Wilbinga in the Shire of Gingin.The watch and act warning is for people in the area bounded by Indian Ocean Drive, Croot Plave across to Chitna Road, Military Road and Wabling Road.The fire started near the intersection near Chitna Road in Neergabby and was reported at 11:40am.
