A passenger bus collides with emergency teams handling an earlier road accident in southern Turkey, leaving at least 16 people dead and nearly two dozen injured, officials say.

Three firefighters, two paramedics and two journalists were among those killed on the highway between Gaziantep and Nizip on Saturday, Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu tweeted.Gaziantep Governor Davut Gul said 22 other people were injured in the incident. "While the fire brigade, medical teams and other colleagues were responding to the accident, another bus crashed 200 metres behind," he said.
Vice President Fuat Oktay said the emergency workers and journalists had "lost their lives in the line of duty".
