Jacob Gallagher's feelings towards David's ex Victoria Sugden became clear in the ITV soap as viewers believe they have rumbled actor Matthew Wolfeden's exit story.
The exit of David Metcalfe from Emmerdale has already been confirmed for actor Matthew Wolfeden who has been a key character on the ITV soap now for 17 years although the "door remains open" for him if he wishes to return.
David and Leyla had gone to visit him when she was furious over the situation and said she knew exactly who was to blame despite David being adamant he knew nothing. Their chemistry became obvious to viewers at home, as Jacob admitted he was glad she could be with him at his bedside and took a long and meaningful look into her eyes as she walked away.
