With Lydia's ex Craig get closer to her, many fear for the future of Lydia's character
Emmerdale fans have taken to social media to voice their frustration at the direction of Lydia's plotline in the show.
According to ITV, after sharing a moment in the latest episode, Lydia will feel guilty and hand in her resignation. Craig will then go to speak to Lydia before confessing his true feelings.However, he will then force himself on her. This has not gone down well with many fans. The episodes have been produced with the support of Rape Crisis England and Wales, who have worked closely with Emmerdale to ensure the story is portrayed accurately and sensitively.
But tonight viewers aware that the plotline is being built up to have hit out, saying the show had seen enough sexual assault and rape plots in recent times.
