Gold Derby’s Tom O’Neil and I conclude our series of smackdowns trying to predict the major categories at this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards which get handed out on Sunday night. Today we go head to head on the Limited Series and TV movie categories where consensus is hard to find.
It also leads in nominations overall with 19 and looks to be the one to beat, but O’Neil makes a real case for Ava DuVernay’s very fine and highly emotional Netflix Limited Series, earning the bulk of votes at Gold Derby to pull it out. Then there is the razzle dazzle of FX’s Escape At Dannemora are in the race too just to make this even more competitive.
