Two new energy-from-waste plants may cost a combined $2 billion and are part of the growth plans for Australia’s biggest rubbish collector.
Cleanaway Waste Management is Australia’s biggest collector of rubbish, encompassing a vast fleet of 5000 trucks servicing contracts with 130 local councils and more than 150,000 industrial and business customers., is positioning itself to be a bigger player in recycling and a circular economy, with two large projects on the drawing board that will convert some of the waste it collects into electricity.
