Five South Korean groups reached the Billboard 200 for the first time in 2021, scoring important placements on America’s biggest albums chart.
... [+]2021 was a huge year for K-pop acts on thecharts, with some of the biggest names in the industry rising to new highs, scoring huge wins or even returning to No. 1, as BTS managed several times.
On the Billboard 200, no South Korean stars managed to reach the top of the all-encompassing albums ranking, but a number of rising talents did find their way to the important list of the most-consumed full-lengths for the very first time, joining an expanding group of names from the Asian nation by doing so.
