Epic Games has released a statement confirming that it is letting go of 16% of its staff — around 870 employees — blaming slow Fortnite growth.

and that layoffs from developer Creative Assembly were to be expected. 2023 has been a fantastic year for video games, but it's lining up to be a pretty terrible year for the games industry as a whole. Hopefully those affected by these layoffs land on their feet.
