PUBLISHED 10:30 PM ET Jan. 27, 2023Amid the nationwide outrage following the release of the video of Tyre Nichols' deadly beating by police, the pain hits close to home for Gwen Carr -- her son, Eric Garner, was killed after a New York City police officer put him in a chokehold during his 2014 arrest.
In an interview Friday night after video of Nichols' arrest was released, Carr described to Spectrum News' Dean Meminger that "it's so horrifying to watch such a video."
