In a post shared on her Instagram Story, Kacie — who is pregnant and expecting her first child with Hosmer — thanked the team and its fans “for such wonderful memories.”
“Thank you so much to all of our teammates who will be forever family!” Kacie, 32, began. “Our nearly 5 years in San Diego were so special. Thank you to the @padres organization and the fans for such wonderful memories!”

Hosmer, a 2016 All-Star, began his MLB career with the Kansas City Royals and made his professional debut in May 2016. About two years later, he signed an eight-year, $144 million contract with the Padres., landing Nationals superstar Juan Soto. Hosmer was initially set to be included in the deal, but refused to waive his no-trade clause that would have sent him to Washington.Eric Hosmer and wife Kacie are currently expecting a baby boy.
