The Southbank Centre has announced a double-bill performance from neo-soul icon Erykah Badu, her only UK dates scheduled for the remainder of the year.
Badu will now take to the stage at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall for two nights on November 5 and 6.
Effortlessly blending R&B, jazz, hip-hop and funk with bewitching ease and envious cool, Badu will celebrate the 25th anniversary of her celebrated record Baduizm. Working with a fleet of legendary artists including double-bassist Ron Carter, The Roots and gifted producer Bob Power, Baduizm catapulted Badu into international acclaim. After its release in 1997, Baduizm debuted at number two on the US Billboard charts and won the Best R&B Album at the 40th Grammy Awards.
