The elevated, motorized sideline perch ESPN analyst Booger McFarland occupied this past season will not return in 2019, according to a Sporting News report. The BoogerMobile was designed to give McFarland, a defensive tackle who spent eight seasons in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Indianapolis Colts, a closer view of the game in the trenches.
Having McFarland in the BoogerMobile occasionally led to awkward on-air moments with Witten and play-by-play man Joe Tessitore in the broadcast booth. It didn't help that all three were in their first season on the MNF telecasts.
