An Ethiopian Airlines passenger plane has crashed only minutes after takeoff, killing all 157 passengers and crew on board. The flight was travelling from the Addis Ababa to Kenya and crashed near the town of Bishoftu six minutes after taking flight.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has told Sky News they have no information to suggest that any Australians were on board the Ethiopian Airlines flight ET302. The Australian embassy in Addis Ababa continues to make urgent inquiries of local authorities in Ethiopia.
