European consumer confidence has reached its best levels in a year likely due to the continent’s warmer winter lessening concerns surrounding energy prices, says CommSec’s Tom Piotrowski.
“That’s been bubbling along under the surface in recent times,” Mr Piotrowski told Sky News Australia.
“The fact they’ve had a slightly warmer winter has meant there have been fewer concerns around energy prices in the immediate term and the impact on consumer spending.”
