Electric Fields did not make it through to the final, but an Australian teenager remains in the competition.

Australia's official entry in Eurovision 2024 didn't qualify for the Grand Final — but an Australian could still win the competition. Electric Fields competed in the first Semi-Final with their song One Mikali which was the first time an Aboriginal language featured on the Eurovision stage. But with Electric Fields eliminated from the competition, Australia's attention has turned to the Sydney teenager representing Cyprus, who has qualified for the final.

Kapsis is eligible to compete for Cyprus due to her heritage. She was born to a Greek Cypriot father and a mother from Thessaloniki in Greece. She connected with producer Kontopoulos via Instagram, and the two worked together on the song, which was later selected as Cyprus's entry for Eurovision. Kapsis was born and raised in Sydney and has been dancing and singing since she was four.
