A car is seen abandoned in floodwaters in Lansvale.As predicted, an east coast low formed on Sunday morning and will linger until Tuesday, meaning the state can expect even more torrential rain, strong damaging winds and coastal erosion.
SES crews have already received 1400 calls for help and have performed 29 flood rescues, including one dramatic rescue of a woman in Holsworthy. “Keep ready with your important documents, if you’re in an isolated area have food, and water, look after your domestic animals and make sure that you have a plan,” she said.
