Kelley Gandurski, Evanston’s interim city manager, has announced her resignation.

Kelley Gandurski, Evanston’s interim city manager, has announced her resignation to join the land use and government law firm Elrod Friedman LLP. Her resignation will be effective July 11 according to aGandurski has served in the position since Oct. 2021 while a search for a permanent city manager was held following previous city manager Erika Storlie’s resignation.

During her time in the role, she had a hand in multiple initiatives including overseeing development of the city’s American Rescue Plan Act plan, assisting to build a citywide Coalition to End Homelessness, coordination of safety practices for city employees during the COVID-19 pandemic among other accomplishments.Evanston Mayor Daniel Biss praised Gandurski for taking on the role on short notice saying the community owes her a debt of gratitude.by lawyers Steven Elrod and Peter Friedman.
