Warwick Farm trainer Matthew Smith will put the $20 million The TAB Everest to the side of his mind momentarily on Thursday when he starts Noble One in the Yalumba 4YO & Up Maiden Plate at Kemble Grange.
Noble One hit the line well when he finished third behind Midnight Opal at Scone, with the winner subsequently coming out to score again at Kembla Grange last time out.“We have a bit of a tricky draw this time, and the thing is that Noble One isn’t the best out of the barriers, so there’s a couple of things against him.Aaron Bullock was on Noble One at Scone, and Zac Lloyd takes over the ride in the Kembla Grange event.
“I couldn’t be happier with him,” said Smith. “He’s had a great preparation and it’s up to him now come Saturday. He couldn’t be in any better shape.”
