Plenty to ponder for Everton ahead of the unveiling of their home kit for 2024/25, their final season at Goodison Park
Everton are rumoured to be turning to Castore as their new kit manufacturers next season as they ditch hummel after four years but other than not being ‘wet-look’ just what might the Blues home strip be like for their historic final campaign at Goodison Park?
Indeed, despite long-serving former Everton kit manager Jimmy Martin telling the ECHO last December that he personally favours an all-blue kit and tried to get the team to wear it for Merseyside Derbies only to be knocked back, it seems like white shorts have been the only omnipresent part of home strips during the 132 years at Goodison.
You certainly can’t imagine Sean Dyche’s men going back to the predominantly ruby-coloured shirts from 1891/92, Everton’s final season at Anfield. Other early combinations included blue and white stripes, black with a red diagonal sash, pink and white halves, pink shirts with white sleeves, light blue and white quarters, light blue and white halves and the salmon pink and navy that has been revived for various away kits since Goodison Park’s centenary in 1992.
