Moshiri is keen to recoup the money he has invested in the club’s new stadium, which is currently being built.with barely any of the big-money deals proving to be a successThe new stadium on Bramley-Moore Dock is under construction at a cost of at least £550m and the 67-year-old has funded the construction costs while seeking the additional investment required to complete the project.

Ahead of the Toffees’ relegation six-pointer against Southampton earlier this month, the club’s board of directors were told not to attend because of a ‘real and credible threat to their safety and security’. It was then reported that Everton chief executive Denise Barrett-Baxendale was ‘put in a headlock’ as she left the Goodison Park directors’ box.
