Everton get new stadium boost from £100m MSP loan as takeover talks continue
Everton have received the £100m loan from MSP Sports Capital to help fund the new stadium build at Bramley Moore Dock.and his representatives over a further £50m capital injection into the club for a stake in the club and seats on the board last month before those talks broke down over objections to the structure of the deal from an existing club lender, Rights and Media Funding Limited.
But while that deal fell away, the club did secure crucial funding of £100m for 52,888-seater stadium on the banks of the River Mersey, which is set to be opened during the 2024/25 season. The £100m loan from MSP to Everton Stadium Development Holding Company Limited met a vital need for the club in terms of keeping the build on track by securing the next tranche of funding.
