The father of one of four Australians missing at sea off the Indonesian coast has pleaded for more help in the search, saying "eyes in the sky" are needed.
"Our hearts are aching at the thought that Elliot, Steph, Will and Jordan are missing at sea," their families said, in a statement released through the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.Photograph of Elliot Foote and Steph Weisse, who are missing in Indonesia along with two other Australians."We'd like to thank the Indonesian authorities and the Australian government for their ongoing assistance while search and rescue efforts continue.
He thanked boat users for joining the search overnight, but called for the Australian and Indonesian governments to "get some planes up". "My son William and three Australian mates have gone missing on a boat transfer from Padang to Nias, Indonesia. Last sighting was 6pm Indo time last night in poor weather," the post said.
