The Sydney Marathon will shut down dozens of streets across several parts of the city on Sunday, as thousands of runners take to the streets for the race.

Marathon will shut down dozens of streets across several parts of the city on Sunday, as thousands of runners take to the streets for the race.All major roads and cycleways in the Sydney CBD will be closed from 3.30am including: The Rocks, Millers Point, CBD, North Sydney, Barangaroo, Pyrmont, Darlinghurst, Moore Park, Centennial Park, Kensington and Kingsford.All major roads and cycleways in the Sydney CBD will be closed from 3.30am.

The Harbour Tunnel and Eastern Distributor will remain open, however, motorists should expect delays. Traffic from the Anzac Bridge to the city will have to take the detour via the Bathurst Street off-ramp.The race will start at 6am, with road closures in place hours before. Sections of Miller Street, Ridge Street, McLaren Street, Carlow Street, Berry Street, Walker Street and surrounding local streetsPacific Highway between Bay Road and the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Bradfield Highway.Miller Street Start line area between Falcon Street and McLaren Street will be closed from 3.30m until 12pm.
