The Crimson Tide head coach was pleased with his team’s effort in its second SEC win of the fall.
Updated October 01, 2023 1:22 AMSTARKVILLE, MISS.— Alabama head coach Nick Saban was pleased with his team's effort and performance in the Crimson Tide's 40-17 win over Mississippi State. That included positives about Jalen Milroe's progression, the performance of the defense and more. Here's everything he had to say."So, I know there’s a lot of things we can improve on. But I also think there’s a lot of good things that we need to build on.
So, I believe in this team. I like this team. [We] got some guys beat up, and it hurts us a little bit, you know. [Deontae] Lawson, signal caller out there. Trezmen Marshall did a really good job, but, you know, Jihaad's [Campbell] a little inexperienced. Those two guys playing together is really good for us. I don't know when those guys will be back. So don't even ask. We probably won't know until midweek. But nobody really banged up bad tonight that I know about.
