Any programme that aired between 1 June 2022 and 31 May 2023 is eligible for this year’s awards, meaning – somewhat confusingly – thatup for prizes, but its recently aired second instalment is not.The Emmys has yet to announce a 2023 host.
Kenan Thompson served as master of ceremonies for the 2022 awards, while Cedric the Entertainer and Jimmy Kimmel took on hosting duties in 2021 and 2020, respectively.While announcing this year’s nominees, the Television Academy stated that the ceremony is due to be held at the Peacock Theater at LA Live in Downtown Los Angeles., which received a cool 27 nods.Fox is scheduled to air the ceremony in the US, with UK broadcast plans to be confirmed in due course.
