Kyrgios on Friday spoke about his excitement to be back competing at a major tournament for the first time since the 2022 US Open, saying his return will"add some question marks" as he does not know if he will be controversial in a"good or bad way". "I like Nick the way he plays. I think he's very good for tennis," he said to SkyNews.com.au at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club in Melbourne.
He also weighed in on another Aussie in Alex de Minaur who has been in hot form recently and rose to the highest ranking of his career at No.6 in the middle of last year. Asked what it will take for de Minaur to reach a final or become champion, Johansson said the Aussie will be a threat this year but may need some luck to help him win.
