In the school release, it said that Douglas “was an exceptional student who displayed immense dedication and promise.” He was an AltFinance and Goldman Sachs Fellow and part of the Morehouse Business Association. He interned at Ares Management Corporation in Los Angeles during the summer.
“Hugh and Christion were not just friends but also roommates during their sophomore year, and their loss is deeply felt by all of us in the Morehouse family,” the school said. The elder Douglas was drafted by the New York Jets No. 16 overall in 1995. He won defensive rookie of the year and played three seasons in New York before being traded in 1998 to the Philadelphia Eagles, where he was selected to three Pro Bowl teams in his six years there. He also spent the 2003 season with Jacksonville prior to ending his career in Philadelphia.
