Former Liberal member Pat Farmer will set off on his enormous 14,500km run around Australia to support the Voice on Monday, saying he was pleased the decision is in the hands of the people and not politicians.

Ultra-marathon runner and former Liberal member Pat Farmer has admitted to being"a little bit nervous" as he prepares to begin an epic 14,500 kilometre run around Australia to support the Voice to Parliament.

Mr Farmer will run about 14,500km during his trip, but revealed to Sky News Australia that he might add on a few hundred more during a last minute stop off in the Tiwi Islands.
