Details about the past of Chloe Jade Mason, 23, have been revealed after police say she was allegedly assaulted before being fatally shot on a street north of Brisbane over the weekend. The victim had previously suffered heartbreak when her boyfriend was killed in a violent brawl in 2020.
A woman who was fatally shot on a street north of Brisbane had previously been left heartbroken when her boyfriend was killed during a violent brawl. Chloe Jade Mason, also known as CJ, died on Sunday when the 23-year-old was found unconscious on a grass verge on Railway Parade in Caboolture just after midnight.According to The Courier Mail, Ms Mason had been in an 'on and off' relationship with Kane Alexanderson who was fatally stabbed aged 18 on Australia Day in 2020.
The incident happened inside a Brisbane high-rise apartment when Alexanderson along with eight other men stormed inside to confront a man watching fireworks.The man who stabbed Mr Alexanderson was found not guilty of manslaughter in 2023, with the judge saying he was 'entitled to defend himself' from the gang. Mr Alexanderson's mother Bianca told The Courier Mail her late son had always thought about Ms Mason prior to his death and that the pair had both missed each other. 'They just loved each other. They were beautiful. She wanted to see him again. She definitely missed him,' Bianca said, after visiting the scene where Ms Mason died.Ms Mason and Bianca had both spent time together in prison previously, saying her son's ex would 'hide' any problems but was not afraid to speak her mind. The victim's heartbroken family released a statement following her sudden death. 'Chloe was a beautiful 23-year-old who was loved by many.
