Former Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has hailed Arne Slot as Holland's best coach and believes Liverpool have made a "very good choice" with his appointment.
Slot officially began his role at Anfield on June 1 but will not begin working with Liverpool's players until they report back to the AXA Training Centre for the start of pre-season in early July.READ MORE: Arne Slot decision could open door for Curtis Jones change at Liverpool "It's a big job because Jurgen Klopp has done it fantastically, so he as the successor is always more difficult," the 72-year-old told Sky Sports. "But he is a good trainer. I think at the moment - with Peter Bosz - the best trainer from the Netherlands. I think Liverpool have made a very good choice."
