"The rain is still coming through in full force, and we're still seeing widespread flash-flooding, widespread impacts, likely to continue through today and well into tomorrow as well," senior forecaster Miriam Bradbury says. "Our 24-hour rainfall totals could easily exceed 200mm or more over the next couple of days as that system slows and moves inland."She says Alfred is sitting off Bribie Island as a category one cyclone and could become a tropical low as it reaches the coast in the next couple of hours.
