The Met Office has issued a weather warning for parts of the UK
Thunderstorms are set to hit Greater Manchester today, with the heaviest of the rain to fall this afternoon.
The Met Office has issued a yellow thunderstorm warning for much of the UK today, with the rainy and windy weather set to bring disruption across parts of the North West. Though our region isn't covered by the warning, thunderstorms are still forecast with heavy showers set to fall later today and this evening.
According to the Met Office, a thunderstorm will hit Greater Manchester at around 3pm. Weather maps show rain clouds moving steadily over our region this afternoon.Forecasters predict heavy showers will follow the thunder at around 5pm, with more torrential rain set to fall at around 7pm.
