An SF Bay Area storm event is expected to last until Saturday, and pack a potent mix of wind, cold, rain, thunderstorms and snow.
"These winds are just continuing to bring in more and more cold air," Rick Canepa, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, told SFGATE.

Here's what to expect, according to the weather service:The blustery conditions are forecast to continue into Wednesday, with winds easing in the morning and afternoon. A wind warning for coastal areas expires at 9 a.m. Wednesday, with a wind advisory for the entire region ending at 1 p.m.
"Total rainfall between Tuesday to Saturday has been bumped up slightly," the weather service said in its latest forecast posted Tuesday night."Interior valley areas are likely to get between 0.50 inches to an inch, with isolated areas receiving around 1.25 inches. Higher elevations are forecast to receive an inch to 1.50 inches."There's a 10% to 20% chance for thunderstorm activity Friday and Saturday with lightning, heavy rain and small hail expected.
