RHONY star went to the Ukraine border to help refugees - now she tells their story
Former RHONY star Carole Radziwill spent two days at the Ukrainian-Polish border with INTERSOS shortly after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. She exclusively spoke with DailyMailTV about the 'extraordinary' work being done by aid organizations for the millions fleeing the war-torn country. 'You can't imagine when you walk into these places where every bit of the floor is lined with beds - cots that are mainly set that up in a day,' Carole recalled.
Refugees needed immediate medical attention for things like 'dehydration, stress, fatigue, hypothermia' as well as chronic illnesses. 'To witness that and be there and be able to tell that story when I came back and on my social platform was what was important for me,' she said. Last year Carole became an INTERSOS ambassador to help with the Syrian refugee crisis but quickly pivoted to Ukraine.
