A simple car stop for a fake license plate became an all-out chase on the Cross Bronx Expressway. Josh Einiger witnessed the wild chase and the moments after during an exclusive ride-along with police.
"We're listening to the community. We're listening to what they want and how they want to feel safe and what makes them feel safe," she said. "The community will tell you what is plaguing them, what crimes, what quality-of-life issues."
It didn't take long to find what's become known as a ghost car. That's when a temporary tag doesn't match the car it's attached to.Police boxed the car in, so the driver couldn't flee.
