Motorists have been urged to brush up on how to drive safely in snowy conditions
Motorists may be concerned about their commutes in the coming days after the Met Office issued snow and ice warnings across Scotland.
Tim Rodie, resident driving expert at Motorpoint explained: "If road conditions are particularly bad or you’re worried about ice, you might want to consider pulling away in second gear to reduce the chance of your wheels spinning." Tim also warned that It can take "up to 10 times longer" to come to a complete stop if roads are icy, so you should leave plenty of room between yourself and the car in front.
