Donald Trump may be hopeful a new nuclear deal with Iran could lead to peace and security in the region, but a leading security expert has told Sky News he is unconvinced by the president’s argument.
Peter Jennings from the Australian Strategic Policy Institute told Sky News he is not sure there has been much thought to the plan other than Mr Trump’s comments.
“There is absolutely nothing more to that thought,” he said. “The tensions are running so deep between the US and Iran I don’t see how anything can be done here.”
