The four victims, a man, woman and two young children, were found dead inside a fourth-floor apartment on the Upper West Side, with what police sources say were stab wounds.Here are the major headlines from Monday's show:A rally was taking place outside a Catholic school on Staten Island Monday evening, a school now used as a shelter for migrants. They started to arrive at St. John Villa Academy on Friday, and they got a not so warm welcome.
Officials say police were trying to deescalate the situation, when the man charged at them with a six to eight-inch kitchen knife. One police officer fired his service weapon and shot the man. The man's family identified him as Andrew Jerome Washington, 52. He was transported to the hospital for surgery, but was later pronounced dead. Washington's family says he was suffering from a mental health crisis after he stopped taking critical medication.
