Perry Kouroumblis, the suspect in the 1977 murders of Suzanne Armstrong and Susan Bartlett in Melbourne, was arrested in Rome and is now being extradited to Australia. He was seen boarding a flight from Rome to Doha, where he was taken to a secluded area before continuing his journey to Melbourne.

The first extradition pictures of the main suspect in the horrific cold-case killings of two Melbourne women have emerged as he makes his way to Australia. Perry Kouroumblis was arrested at Rome’s Leonardo Da Vinci Airport in September over the deaths of Suzanne Armstrong , 28, and Susan Bartlett , 27, in January 1977.

Suspect in cold-case murders makes his way back to Australia. The friends were found dead with multiple stab wounds at their home on Easey St in Collingwood. Flanked by three senior homicide investigators, Kouroumblis was the first to board the flight from Rome on Monday night and was not handcuffed. During the flight he was served food, had a drink and watched a film.
