The former foreign minister lashed out at Russia as she hosted a talk with Volodymyr Zelensky at The Australian National University, where the Ukrainian President answered questions from students across the country.

Ms Bishop hosted an event at an auditorium packed with about 1,400 students and livestreamed to 21 universities across the country on Wednesday- 23 weeks since the war with Russia first began.

"He spoke very powerfully and very passionately about the day-to-day atrocities that the people of Ukraine are suffering from the Russian invaders," she said.
