Nearly 50 million Americans are on alert through this Labor Day weekend because of what's been described as a dangerous heat wave, that's threatening power grids, fueling fires, and threatening the homeless, elderly, and other vulnerable people.
The high temperatures over 100 degrees from Southern California to Montana are expected to last through the middle of next week. For more, we're joined on the KCBS Ring Central Newsline by Matt Mehle, Meteorologist for the National Weather Service.
