It’s time to call out the activists who populate the “so-called fact-checking units” and social media giants “stupid enough to listen to them,” says Sky News host Rita Panahi.

“The latest Twitter Files revelations concerning ‘Hamilton 68’ and the false claims of Russian influence show that too often media outlets and fact-checking units who shout the loudest about ‘misinformation’ are guilty of spreading it or turning a blind eye,” she said.Ms Panahi said any positive claims about the state of the climate will see “biased operators” launch into action and declare the information as “false or lacking context”.

“Last week President of the Copenhagen Consensus Centre Bjorn Lomborg called out those charged with reducing disinformation for promoting disinformation,” she said.
