A ‘fair’ trade idea has been floated for a rival Victorian club to nab a wantaway Bulldogs midfielder.
“We know St Kilda is not going to trade away one of those picks in the top 10,” Herald Sun journalist Josh Barnes began on Fox Footy’s“They have Pick 24 as their second pick coming up after that; I think that’s a little bit too high — I think Pick 43 is fair enough for Jack Macrae. “Melbourne have Pick 38, they’ve also got Pick 45 — I’d be looking at that Pick 38 and saying: ‘I think Jack Macrae would suit the Melbourne Football Club; it’s sort of what they need’,” he said on Wednesday.
Due to a lack of senior opportunities over his four-year Carlton tenure, and still without a deal for next year, the 2020 draftee has recently been regarded a possibility to request a trade.
