The families of Rachel McCrow and Matthew Arnold renewed their calls to have drones in all police cars, two years on from the tragedy.
They and two other police officers had attended the property to carry out a welfare check but were ambushed byArnold and McCrow were shot dead, including the Train's neighbour Alan Dare. The Trains were later killed in a shootout.
Two years on, the families of Arnold and McCrow are renewing their push for drones to be put in all police cars, to prevent another tragedy ever occurring.In a statement today, McCrow's family described her as a "beautiful, compassionate soul". "As the so-called Festive season looms we will continue to tell her that she was the greatest gift we ever received."Arnold's family said he was "just one shift away from being with us" but he never made it home.
"Today as we do every year, we'll visit his gravesite with bucket of his favourite KFC," his family said in a statement. Queensland Premier David Crisafulli and Police Minister Dan Purdie gathered to lay wreaths at a memorial in Brisbane this morning.
