The families of the two Melbourne girls hospitalised after a mass methanol poisoning in Laos have provided updates on what they’re going through.
The family of Bianca Jones has said they are living “every parent's nightmare”, while Holly Bowles’ father has provided an update on his daughter's condition as the two girls battle for their lives after a mass methanol posing in Laos .
Pictures: Supplied. “Right now our daughter remains in an intensive care unit, in critical condition. She’s on life support,” the father said. “The Beaumaris Football Club extends its love, best wishes and unconditional support to Holly and Bianca in their hour of need,” the club president Nick Heath said.
Mr Heath said the girls were “valued members” of the Beaumaris Football Club, describing how both girls had progressed through the junior program, with Ms Bowles playing senior football in the VAFA Women’s B Grade competition this year. “We acknowledge Holly and Bianca’s teammates and friends at the club are struggling to come to terms with what has occurred. Now more than ever, the wider Sharks Community needs to lean on each other for both comfort and support,” Mr Heath said.
